New TITAN XD Radical Truck Wrap for the Chicago Auto Show
Forklift Systems Goes BOLD With a New Anniversary Logo & Partial Wrap
If you live anywhere near Nashville, you’ve probably heard people talk about Biscuit Love. It’s the kind of place where people stand in hour-long lines just to eat amazing Southern comfort food with cool names like “Bonuts!” With their first two locations in the Gulch and Hillsboro Village, this quaint little restaurant has created quite the buzz over the last few years. Now, Biscuit Love is serving up amazing food right here in lovely Franklin, TN, and we were fortunate to fabricate and install the beautiful custom signage for their newest location!
Biscuit Love, owned by husband and wife team Karl & Sarah Worley, began its very quick ascent to food fame in a humble Airstream food truck in April 2012. After quickly developing a drove of followers and gaining national acclaim from favorite dishes like the “East Nasty” (named the Best Sandwich of 2015 by Bon Appétit), Karl and Sarah decided to open their first restaurant in the Gulch area, serving a variety of breakfast and lunch options made entirely from scratch. Their third restaurant is now located in the historic Corn House on Third Avenue off the square in downtown Franklin.
After fabricating and installing window graphics for their original two restaurants, we were honored to fabricate and install the newest custom signs for Biscuit Love in Franklin. Now let’s take a look at how we created custom signage for all three locations.
Dimensional Post & Arm Sign
We received the artwork for this dimensional sign from Biscuit Love’s creative director. She asked us to fabricate and install a hanging logo sign outside the restaurant that would use the existing black post and arm that was left by a previous tenant. To create the sign, our graphic designer prepared the artwork files for printing.
The base of the round sign was created using a 1/8? thick black powder coated aluminum panel. The round logo panel was 34” in diameter. The “Open Daily” portion of the sign, which hangs beneath the round logo sign, was 28” x 8” and also had the same powder coat finish applied.
We contour cut the white borders, red hearts and blue graphics that were digitally printed onto high quality vinyl material. We applied the vinyl graphics to the surfaces of both signs. We then laser cut the dimensional letters (BISCUIT LOVE and OPEN DAILY) out of ¼” thick white acrylic and applied them to the front surfaces of both signs. We installed the signs on the post and arm at the new location. Check out the new signs in the image above. We think the custom signs look great in front of the gorgeous historic home!
Dimensional Logo Sign Above the Front Door
To welcome visitors, we fabricated another dimensional sign to go above the front door. The sign was created using a 1/4? thick aluminum composite panel wrapped in satin black vinyl. We used the same laser cutting process as the round sign to create the 1/2” thick white acrylic letters. We also fabricated the red logo heart with a satin finish paint. We digitally printed and contour cut the white border and blue graphics and applied them to the surface of the sign. The logo sign was installed flush against the building front using black mounting hardware.
Temporary Banners
Before the custom signs were completed, we printed three 96” x 24” temporary banners to hang on the front porch of the Corn House. We printed a “Join Our Team” banner, a general logo banner, and also a banner that said “Now Open.” These were great to display the brand prior to and during the restaurant’s soft opening.
Window Graphics
Prior to the work we did for the Franklin location, we also fabricated and installed window graphics for the Gulch and Hillsboro Village locations. The artwork for these graphics was provided by Biscuit Love.
For both locations, we cut super fun, second surface, layered black and gold window graphics that had an old time, vintage look. The gold vinyl is double sided mirror gold, so that the gold can be seen on the interior and exterior of the glass windows. We especially love the cute messages on these graphics, such as “Shhh….The Secret Ingredient is Love!” ?
We also fabricated the Biscuit Love logo and additional wording for the glass doors at the Gulch and Hillsboro Village locations. We installed the graphics on the exterior glass surfaces of both the front and exit doors. The printed graphics have a protective UV satin laminate finish to prevent fading from the sun.
We are so in love with everything about Biscuit Love….their food, their artwork, their people, and now their beautiful signs! All of the elements we’ve fabricated and installed for Biscuit Love work together to create a strong branded environment. As people see the Biscuit Love logos and branding from the street, in the restaurants, and in the media, the company is establishing a positive view of its brand in the minds of current and potential customers.
Biscuit Love is more than just a restaurant. Karl and Sara, and all the Biscuit Love employees, love to serve food, but they also believe in providing meals for those in need and giving back to the people in their communities.
