Law enforcement officers who work for the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office have learned that connecting with kids is not only helpful to reduce crime, but also to maintain a positive image in the community. The county’s D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program is operated by school resource officers who connect with kids through educational classes and fun community activities. And their fleet of unique, custom wrapped D.A.R.E. vehicles help, too! (We’ve wrapped NINE of them to date!) Let’s take a look at their latest custom car wrap.
This project started with a phone call from our good friend, Sergeant Charlie Clark. He asked our designer to create a “camouflage look” for a black Chevy Impala. Our designer suggested doing something a little different by creating a modified camo car wrap with an urban feel. He played around with some ideas and developed a design proof for Sgt. Clark to preview. Sgt. Clark loved the layout and gave his thumbs up for us to go ahead with printing and installation!
The layout for this partial wrap was unique, because the sides are different. The driver side contains more of the white urban camo, while the passenger side fades to show more of the car’s black paint. To keep a somewhat consistent look with the most recent D.A.R.E. vehicles, our designer placed the Robertson County officers’ badge on the hood, roof and rear doors, and the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office decal on the rear side panels.
We also installed white reflective contour cut decals for the D.A.R.E. letters on the front doors and the Robertson County Sheriff lettering on the back bumper. The decals added a dimensional look that reflects light at night.
Here’s the new D.A.R.E. car! We love the cool design on this partial car wrap!
The urban camo wrap brings a new look to the growing fleet of unique Robertson County D.A.R.E. vehicles. A few of the other themed custom wraps we’ve designed and installed include: Road Warrior, American Flag, split American Flag/State of Tennessee Flag, The U.S. Constitution, and We The People.
In addition to D.A.R.E. cars, we’ve wrapped a large RV trailer command post, golf cart, and an ATV for Robertson County. We’ve also designed and applied graphics to a pop-up tent. It’s always a pleasure to work with Sgt. Clark and the Robertson County Sheriff’s office. We can’t wait to see what cool project they bring to us next!
