Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury Has a New Nissan Leaf and Custom Wrap

When organizations work together to improve the lives of families in our communities…..great things happen! And we are always thankful when we can lend a hand!

Habitat for Humanity of Williamson and Maury counties (HFHWM) recently needed a vehicle to assist staff and support construction activities. Nissan North America generously stepped up and donated a new zero-emission Nissan Leaf to the non-profit. But the vehicle also needed to showcase the HFHWM brand with a custom wrap, so 12-Point SignWorks was called in to help!

Our designer, Torrence, worked with HFHWM and Nissan to create an eye-catching advertising wrap design for the all-electric Leaf. He reviewed style guides from both organizations to ensure his design stayed within specifications. One of the most exciting elements of the new wrap design was the inclusion of reflective elements—the HFHWM logo, icons, and the new 25th year anniversary mark are designed to cast light!

After review and approval from both HFHWM and Nissan, the design was digitally printed using our HP Latex Wide Format Printer on Avery Cast Wrap vinyl with a protective UV gloss laminate. The wrap was then cut to specifications and installed on the black Leaf in our temperature-controlled shop.

The impactful wrap is not only beautiful to look at, but it also helps raise awareness of the non-profit’s mission to provide affordable housing. Most recently, it was driven in Centennial High School’s homecoming parade to promote Habitat High in Franklin!

The Habitat High program joins together seven or eight area high schools to raise approximately $70,000 annually to support the building of a house through HFHWM. Participating schools include Centennial, Brentwood, Currey Ingram Academy, Franklin, Independence, Ravenwood, and Summit High Schools. Since 1997, high school students have built 16 homes in Williamson County. This year’s home will be number 17!

At 12-Point, we’ve had the pleasure to work with HFHWM on several projects. In addition to the Leaf, we designed and installed a vehicle wrap on a Nissan NV 2500 HD High Roof Cargo Van, designed and printed Restore signs, and create annual signage for HFHWM events, such as Hammers & High Heels and other fund-raising activities. We feel honored to provide services for an organization that “builds strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.”

The new Leaf can now be seen delivering materials and staff to build sites in Williamson and Maury counties. We know that it will catch a lot of attention and hopefully increase the amount of donations and volunteers for HFHWM.

“Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury is honored to have Nissan as one of our most generous and loyal partners,” explained HFHWM Executive Director Becket Moore. “The LEAF has provided us with an economical and environmentally-friendly way to transport food and supplies to the volunteers on the build site.”
