Branded Wall Wrap Install at Cool Springs Galleria

Vinyl wraps aren’t just for cars! We can wrap anything your imagination could ever think up – concrete support columns, EV charging stations, and airport terminal tunnels! This Project of the Week brought us to the mall, Cool Springs Galleria, to be exact, for a wall wrap install. Hey, we’re poets! The install is a collaboration with the out-of-state maker of this wrap, ABC Imaging. They created the custom-branded wall wrap to announce the arrival of Tennessee’s first Primark store.

Tips and Best Practices for Effective Environmental Graphics

Wall wraps and oversized graphics are an element of environmental graphic design. Thanks to their ease of install and removal, vinyl wall wraps are a cost-effective way to update a space, announce upcoming retail or restaurant spaces, and create branded environments that can stand out amongst the crowd. Here are a few tips and best practices for creating effective branded vinyl wall wraps:

Prioritize User Experience and Accessibility

  • Design with the user in mind. Every graphic should enhance how people interact with the space, making navigation intuitive and information clear.
  • Incorporate accessibility from the start. Use high-contrast colors and legible typography so everyone can understand and enjoy your designs.

Create a Clear Visual Hierarchy

  • Guide users’ attention to the most important information first. Use size, color, and typography to differentiate headings, subheadings, and body text.

Maintain Consistency in Design Elements

  • Use a cohesive color scheme, typography, and iconography throughout the space. Consistency strengthens brand identity and helps users recognize and follow wayfinding cues.

Integrate Branding Thoughtfully

  • The goal is to reinforce brand identity while keeping the environment welcoming and functional.
  • Avoid clutter and complex messaging. Simplicity ensures that information is easily understood at a glance, especially in high-traffic environments.
  • Apply color psychology to evoke specific emotions: calm blues for relaxation, vibrant reds for energy. Color coding can also help organize information and guide users through complex spaces.

Incorporate Technology for Interactivity

  • Interactive elements can personalize the user experience and make environments more memorable. Add a QR code to the design that takes users to the brand’s website or app.

Incorporate Wayfinding Best Practices

  • Place directional signage at key decision points, use clear landmarks, and ensure line-of-sight visibility.
  • Consistent color coding and intuitive symbols reduce confusion and stress, especially in large or complex environments like airports or large event venues.
