“Critter Caravan” Takes Animals to their “FurEver” Homes
Over the last few months, we’ve seen a rise in the number of boat projects we’ve completed. There must be something in the water! (Ok, bad boat joke.) From registration numbers to custom wraps, we’ve been working with our customers to get their boats just right. One recent customer wanted to transform his Triton 2895 Center Console Boat into something extra special. We worked with him on everything from the design to the installation of his partial boat wrap, and his Triton looks completely different!
When our customer came to us, his boat was a basic blue. It didn’t have anything that really made it stand out from other boats of its kind. He shared with us the things that he wanted to incorporate into the design:
- Fish
- Tennessee flag images
- A Kryptek-like pattern
- A reference to a premium fisherman’s apparel company
The before. There’s no doubt that this is a nice boat, but it doesn’t have anything that really makes it stand out…yet.
To create the new design for the boat, we had to complete two different steps. First, we needed to create a template for the boat wrap. Using a combination of high-resolution photos and precise measurements, our talented designer, Torrence, created templates for the blue sections of the boat sides.
With the template created, we started on part two: design. Torrence found high-res images of fish swimming in water. He also designed the layout of the Tennessee flag with a Kryptek-like background. He positioned the fish and flag portions on the template and, to those, added the modified lettering requested by the customer. After two revisions, our customer approved the proof, and we moved on to production.
We digitally printed the graphics on premium high performance vinyl with a protective UV laminate. It took a few sets of hands to position the material on the sides of the boat, but once we had everything in place, it was smooth sailing! (I know, another bad boat joke.) I think you’ll agree that the new wrap is striking on this offshore battlewagon!
Done! Doesn’t it look fantastic?! This boat definitely will catch some attention on the water…and hopefully some fish!

Although we wrapped the sides of the boat with the custom design, we also wrapped the back band on the boat in black vinyl to cover the original dark blue.
Our final step with the wrap installation included adding the boat registration numbers and reinforcing the areas on the boat that see more action than others. Once completed, we pulled the boat out of our shop to let the vinyl sit in the sun. Our customer arrived later that day, and he saw it in the parking lot before he entered our shop. He couldn’t have been happier with the way the boat turned out, and we couldn’t agree more.
